Work in Progress

Wrote this during prayer meeting this morning...had more to add to it but I don't quite recall what it was I had in mind nor the tune to which I sang this to...

I can trust in Your heart
I can trust in Your plans
I can trust in Your ways
I love You Lord (2x)

I seek You in a dry and weary place
I seek You as the world around me crumbles
I seek You as my tears have gone dry
And my heart is burdened

For You are my peace
For You are my strength
For You bring Your healing
And You lift me up again

My salvation lies in You
And nothing can shake me now
Hope for life is in You
I glorify You Lord (2x)

Wrote this during quiet time this morning:

Verse 1:
Lord, still my heart
I long to know Your peace
I come to lay my fears at Your feet

Lord, still my thoughts
I want to know Your truth
I'll take Your Word, renew me everyday

Chorus:
There's power in Your name
Healing as we call upon You Lord
Your joy is my strength
I will never let You go
I choose to walk beside You all my days

Verse 2:
Lord, here I am
I long to know Your heart
I come to sit before Your feet in prayer

Lord, take my life
I want to do Your will
I'll set myself apart for You my King

Bridge (added at this moment):
Though I do not yet understand
Though I do not yet grasp
I choose to follow
I choose to follow You

A Song in My Head

Here's another one that came about on the way to work...actually it kind of started during the Sunday Service when we were worshipping God with our own words following one of the worship songs (which I have now decided is going to be one of the songs we shall worship God with at my wedding. Note to Self: Check with fiance and remember to tell worship leader, who, by the way is my covenant sister). The song on Sunday is called "You are faithful"...it's by Hillsongs (the quality is really fuzzy but it's still audible...I think the best songs are those that are written simply yet bring out a message so clear it hits you right in the core of your heart)

(Verse)
Through the sickness You are there
In the pain and in the loss
Your strength, it upholds me

When I'm drowning in my thoughts
Of confusion, fear and doubt
Your peace it uplifts me

(Chorus)
(So) I'll rely on Your grace
I'll rely on Your hope
Your joy will be my strength

I will choose to trust
And my heart will obey
For You are sovereign Lord
You are sovereign Lord

A Daily Walk

This song popped into my head when I was walking to work this morning looking up at the trees...Thank You God for putting this song in me!

(Softly)
You are with me
You are with me Lord
You are with me
You are with me Lord

(Intro music plays on)

Verse:
How can I deny Your presence
You're everywhere I go
You watch me when I rise and fall
And this is what I know

I see You in the trees
And I feel You in the wind
Your gentleness surrounds me

The very things You've made
Reflect Your love and grace
And I know, I know

Chorus:
You are with me
You are with me Lord
You are with me
You are with me Lord
I know

Last line:
I know....
I know You're near

Today's verse from Ecclesiastes 11: 5 reminds me of the sovereignty & infinite wisdom of God and how He has designed each of us so intricately (as in Psalm 139). It's comforting to know He's got every little detail covered - "As you do not know the path of the wind, or how the body is formed in a mother's womb, so you cannot understand the work of God, the Maker of all things"

Another Shower Composition

(Verse)
Lord, my days are held in Your hands
And I rest assured in Your plans
Your heart for me is one of love, I know

There are times I look at my might
And forget to keep You in sight
That's when things, they start fallin' apart again

(Chorus)
I need You, to keep me from falling
I need You, so I will keep seeking, You
Your ways and Your truth
And I need You, to keep me running
I need You, so I will keep longing, for more
More of You in my life

A Shower Composition

(Verse)
Lord, Your love, it amazes me
You've touched my heart & You've set me free
Lord, Your grace, it compares to none
It's shown by the Father, Spirit, Son

(Chorus)
Lord, You are immeasurable
I can't begin to comprehend
With Your ways, thoughts & powerful truth
The earth You form & hearts You mend
I know I can trust in You
When life takes an uncertain bend

Cause Lord, Lord, You are my deliverer
Cause Lord, Lord, You are my protector
Cause Lord, Lord, You are my All
