Thoughtful Reading

I spent my morning reading articles from a Christian website. Quite a number of the stories published in Radiant & Relevant (recommended by a friend) speak to me personally, addressing different issues I face, particularly in my walk with God or my journey of faith, if you like. Sharing the link to the magazine in hope that the articles will encourage, comfort, inspire, challenge or simply remind of God's character, plan and promises.

Worshipping in Adversity is one of the articles I read this morning. It's written by a lady who suffers from breast cancer, on how she has chosen to trust in God despite the circumstances as she knows that God is sovereign over all things and that her illness is not from Him.

In her sharing she quotes the following verse which inspired me to look for a photograph of one lifting hands to God - the dark skies to me depict tough times, while the breaking through of light the hope that God can shine through as we lift our pain to Him and are renewed again - “May my prayer be set before you like incense; may the lifting up of my hands be like the evening sacrifice.” Psalm 141: 2, TNIV
