Just got back from our 2009 Hope Oceania Convention - "Empowered by the Spirit" at Philip Island, Melbourne. Was great. Was tiring. Am now down with the flu due to sleep deprivation and the erratic 4-seasons in one day weather. Spent two extra days in Melbourne itself, taking in the sights (the Observation Deck that offers a 360 degree view of the whole city was a highlight), stuffing our faces with Asian food (that is much better than the limited options here) and shopping along Smith Street and Bridge Road (an easy tram ride to each from the city centre) where you can find factory outlets. I bought a dress and two tops and Fab found two nice shirts. Heh. More photos and writings about the OC (no, not the Orange County) to come.
