He took the pledge on Australia Day, along with 30 other candidates being sworn in at the Lions Club in Ashmore. The ceremony was short and sweet with each new citizen given a certificate and a pot of native flora. We have no idea what it is, but the tag promises the bit of greenery is resilient, which may bode well for our new leafy friend. Anyway, here is Fab, the best dressed new citizen on the day.

All attendees and their guests were treated to a sausage sizzle and lamingtons after the ceremony, in case you were curious.
