Willow Tree People

Elise commented yesterday that my sketch reminded her of Willow Tree people because I didn't draw in a face. The reason is I prefer my sketches without faces. I don't do a good job of drawing faces. Well, non-cartoon faces. I hadn't heard of Willow Tree people so she had to explain. I then realised I have seen these figurines at friends' houses and in gift stores. The artist intentionally does not craft in facial expressions to leave the interpretation open. The story behind her heartfelt artwork can be read here.
