"The Jesus we need to ignore" is an article alerting us to a new book titled The Third Jesus: The Christ We Cannot Ignore by Indian-born doctor-turned-guru Deepak Chopra. If you have a minute, have a read and pray.
It's so fitting that I chanced upon this article (things like this I know not to be coincidences but God trying to tell me something) because I just noticed that today's verse on Bible gateway is "then know this, you and all the people of Israel: It is by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified but whom God raised from the dead, that this man stands before you healed. Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved" - Acts 4:10,12
Have a listen to this song as well - it's called Lead me to the Cross (Brooke Fraser, Hillsongs United).
Savior I come
Quiet my soul remember
Redemptions hill Where
Your blood was spilled
For my ransom
Everything I once held dear
I count it all as lost
Lead me to the cross
Where Your love poured out
Bring me to my knees
Lord I lay me down
Rid me of myselfI belong to You
Lead me, lead me to the cross
You were as I tempted and trialed, human
The word became flesh
Bore my sin in death
Now you're risen
To your heart
To your heart
Lead me to your heart
Lead me to your heart
