More creativity and the patience to sit down and make something as cool as these hand made journals by Tia Bennet (refer to Two Peas in a Bucket under All Things Fancy). The bottom set would be a real challenge for me. She used the binder (cover) of an old classic (Pride and Prejudice - I love it! Reminds me of my beautiful mum - we used to watch the 6-hour long BBC version together), attached a recipe book inside, retained some of the pages of the original text but included sections for personal reflections to be recorded. She also sewed the edges of the pages and hemmed in little fabric pieces as tabs and decorative items inside (notice the pretty doily). She made her own little bookmarks and surreptitiously stuck little phrases amongst the pages (note the first image)...how fabulous would these be as gifts for that special someone who has a penchant for journals and writing and all things pretty and maybe even a little vintage!
